Oct. 17 – Leaf Change Update – Talimena Scenic Byway

Up on the mountain, the leaves are just starting to give that hint of what's to come! With these cooler mornings, the tips are just now beginning to get a little color in them. Another week and I think we'll really start to see a more serious effort on their part to explode with all that beautiful color! Y'all stay tuned to our website and Facebook page for the latest updates as we countdown the days to full Fall color in Talihina!

Week of October 25th – 31st

It is beginning to look like fall! Leaves are beginning to change to show the initial stages of oranges and reds! We expect the upcoming weekend through November 6th to be the peak foliage time!

Week of October 11th – 17th

We are estimating peak foliage for this year to be between October 20th - November 6th. The Scenic Drive is still pretty green with yellows and some oranges on smaller trees. The leaves have not started to change to the gorgeous oranges or reds yet. Next week the evening temperatures are predicted to drop and should help the leaves begin to turn! Unfortunately the conditions are dry this year so the foliage may not last long. Check back for updates next week!

Week of October 4th – 10th

This week the leaves are just now turning yellow. We are not seeing any of the gorgeous oranges or reds yet. Though there is not a 100% accurate way to predict the best color time. It is estimated that the end of October into the first week of November will be the peak foliage time.

From my experience in event planning to business promoting and community engagement, I am here to support, enhance, and engage our locals.
