As of 11/8/23, it appears as though we are in full bloom with our color! Peak viewing time will happen over the next couple of days, so if you're planning on making a trip, better do it quickly! 11/3/2023 Update on Fall Leaves
11/3/2023 - FALL COLOR UPDATE! Looks like our vibrant colors are almost ready cover the mountainside! If you've been up on the Talimena National Scenic Byway in the past few days, you know things have started to change! The rain last week, coupled with this brief cold snap, has really shifted gears with the trees on the mountain, and it looks like we're in for some wonderful color! Peak time for viewing will take place over the next week, so make your plans now to view Talihina in all her glory! While you're here, swing by our Fall Foliage Festival
Huge Success! Our Chamber Banquet Did Not Disappoint!
If you weren't able to make it to our 2023 Chamber Banquet, you truly missed a wonderful evening of fellowship, laughter and recognition. With our meal provided by The Ranch Restaurant at Talimichi, the Murder Mystery entertainment provided by THEY improv LLC, and our venue courtesy of the Choctaw Community Center, we welcomed over 200 guests to celebrate our Chamber members and our local celebrities. Oct. 17 – Leaf Change Update – Talimena Scenic Byway
Up on the mountain, the leaves are just starting to give that hint of what's to come! With these cooler mornings, the tips are just now beginning to get a little color in them. Another week and I think we'll really start to see a more serious effort on their part to explode with all that beautiful color!
