Huge Success! Our Chamber Banquet Did Not Disappoint!

If you weren't able to make it to our 2023 Chamber Banquet, you truly missed a wonderful evening of fellowship, laughter and recognition. With our meal provided by The Ranch Restaurant at Talimichi, the Murder Mystery entertainment provided by THEY improv LLC, and our venue courtesy of the Choctaw Community Center, we welcomed over 200 guests to celebrate our Chamber members and our local celebrities. Up on the mountain, the leaves are just starting to give that hint of what's to come! With these cooler mornings, the tips are just now beginning to get a little color in them. Are Talihina’s Tanks Really Pointing at Each Other?

Our town holds many, many marks of its long and proud history. From ancient Native American burial grounds to World War Two crash sites, Talihina and its surrounding area bears a lot of marks from those who have occupied it. One of the most recognizable Talihina landmarks is our M110 Howitzers. Stationed at the Talihina VA and the Kiamichi War Memorial, these giant relics remind us of the many local lives given to keep our country safe in hard times. Across our many projects to preserve local history, we often come across gems that have been lost to time. But sometimes you find something so riveting, so golden that you just HAVE to share it.
